How Furniture Stores Can Showcase Products Online with 360 Tours
Furniture is bought in context. Here is how a furniture store can use 360° tours of its room sets, with tagged products, dimensions and shortlists.

Furniture is rarely bought as a single item. Customers think in rooms: how the sofa works with the rug, whether the table suits the space, whether the finishes go together. Standard product photos isolate each piece, so those questions are left unanswered. A 360° tour of your room sets can answer them.
Why furniture is hard to sell from photos
A catalogue image tells a customer what a chair looks like, not how large it feels beside a table or whether the wood tone matches a sideboard. Many customers visit just to settle those questions, and others never visit because they cannot picture the result.
Capture room sets
Style each room set the way you want it seen, because a panorama shows everything. Photograph one scene per set or area: living, dining, bedroom, storage. Link the scenes in the order a customer would walk them. For the technical requirements see the panorama requirements.
Tag products with dimensions and materials
Use product hotspots on the pieces you want customers to open. In the catalogue, store the details that matter for furniture: width, depth, height, material and finish, plus variants such as fabric or colour. Only published products are visible to visitors, and price and availability are optional. Leave them blank if you would rather talk to the customer. The process is explained in adding clickable product hotspots.
Shortlists and enquiries
Visitors can save the pieces they like and send them with a single enquiry. Your team sees which products and which scene the customer was looking at, so the conversation can start from something specific, and staff can have the pieces ready for a visit.
Limits to be honest about
- Fabric colour and texture look different on screen. Invite customers to see samples.
- A panorama shows a fixed arrangement. Customers cannot rearrange the room.
- Dimensions are only as accurate as the data you enter, so check them.
- Immersiq captures enquiries; it is not a checkout.
Getting started
Start with your two or three strongest room sets rather than the whole store, publish, and add more once you see how customers use it. More detail about the furniture use case is on the virtual showroom for furniture page, and you can try the format in the demo.
