How to Add Clickable Product Hotspots to a Virtual Tour
Product hotspots turn a 360° scene into something visitors can act on. This guide covers preparing products, placing and adjusting hotspots in Immersiq, and what visitors see.

A product hotspot is a small clickable tag placed on an item in a 360° scene. When a visitor clicks it, they see that product's details. This guide shows how to add them in Immersiq's editor.
Prepare your catalogue first
Hotspots link to products stored in your catalogue, so create the products before you place them. For each product you need at least a name. You can also add:
- a SKU or product code
- a category and brand
- a description and specifications
- images
- variants such as sizes or finishes
- a price and availability, only if you want to publish them
Leave out anything you do not want visitors to see. Immersiq never fills in a price or specification for you. Set a product to Published when it is ready, because visitors see only published products; a hotspot to a draft product stays hidden. If you have many products, you can import them with CSV.
Place a hotspot
- Open your tour in the editor and select the scene that shows the product.
- Choose Add product.
- Pick the product from the list. You can search by name or SKU.
- Click the item in the panorama.
The hotspot appears where you clicked. You do not enter any coordinates.
Adjust and label
Drag a hotspot to fine-tune its position. Click it to rename its label or change the icon. The label shows when a visitor hovers over the tag, so use the product's name or a short description. The same product can have more than one hotspot, which helps when it appears in several scenes.
What visitors see
When a visitor opens a hotspot they see the product's images, details, specifications and variants, as far as you have entered them. They can add it to a shortlist and send an enquiry that includes the products they selected. Everything is available without creating an account.
Troubleshooting
- A hotspot is missing on the public tour. Check that the product is published and that you have republished the tour with Update live tour.
- A hotspot is in the wrong place. Drag it. Changes save automatically.
- The Publish tab shows a warning about a hotspot. It usually means the linked product is a draft or has been archived.
Keep the information accurate
Visitors will rely on what the hotspot shows, so keep the product details current. If you publish prices or availability, update them when they change, or leave them blank and invite an enquiry instead.
