How AI Is Changing the Virtual Showroom Experience

AI can save effort in a virtual showroom, but only if it is used carefully. This article describes where AI helps today, what it should not do and why a human stays in charge.

AI is showing up in many software products, and virtual showrooms are no exception. The useful question is not "does it have AI?" but "what does it do, and who stays in control?" This is what AI does in Immersiq today, and what it deliberately does not.

Where AI helps today

  • Drafting catalogue text. Writing descriptions for a large product range is slow. Immersiq can draft descriptions from the details you have entered. Each draft is a suggestion: nothing changes until you review and approve it.
  • Answering visitor questions. On plans that include it, visitors can ask questions about the showroom and receive answers based only on your published catalogue, along with the products the answer mentions.

Catalogue drafting with human approval

Suggestions are shown beside your existing text. You can accept, edit or discard them. The cost of each AI action in credits is displayed before you run it, and failed requests are refunded. The principle is that AI saves you typing; it does not decide what your business says. See how AI credits work.

Answering visitor questions from your catalogue

The Ask feature is limited to products you have published. If the catalogue does not contain the answer, it is designed to say so instead of guessing. That is a deliberate constraint: a confident but invented answer about a product is worse than no answer.

Limits and risks

  • Accuracy. AI text can be wrong or generic. Always read what it produces, especially specifications and claims.
  • Not advice. Answers should not be relied on for safety, legal or medical decisions.
  • Dependence on your data. Answers are only as good as the catalogue you maintain.
  • Optional. AI is not required to use Immersiq, and you can leave it off.

What AI does not do

It does not create 3D models, generate your panoramas or publish anything on its own.

AI is a tool for saving time on text and answering routine questions. A showroom still depends on good photography, an accurate catalogue and people who respond to enquiries. For the visitor-facing side, see AI assistants for product discovery and the interactive virtual showroom page.
