Custom domains

Custom domains let a published showroom open at your own address, such as showroom.yourbusiness.com, with HTTPS included. They are part of the Business plan.

Set it up

1. Open Settings → Custom domain, enter the domain, choose which published showroom it should show and press Add domain.
2. At the company where you manage your domain (your DNS provider) add the records shown:
   • a TXT record that proves the domain is yours;
   • a CNAME record (for a subdomain such as showroom.yourbusiness.com) or an A record (for a root domain such as yourbusiness.com).
3. Press Verify DNS. When the records are found we issue a free HTTPS certificate automatically; this usually takes under a minute. The status changes to Active.

Good to know

• Turn off any proxy or CDN in front of the domain (for example Cloudflare's orange cloud) until the certificate is issued, and remove AAAA (IPv6) records that don't point to Immersiq.
• DNS changes can take from a few minutes to a day to appear. Press Verify DNS again later if it isn't found yet.
• Only that one showroom is shown on your domain. The tour must stay published; if you unpublish it, visitors see a "not found" page.
• You can connect up to 3 domains. Removing a domain stops it showing your showroom immediately.
• If your plan changes and no longer includes custom domains, they stop working until you upgrade again.
